All clubs are short of umpires and we know you will want to fill that gap. But how?
Umpires do not simply grow on trees. The ACO does not have a bottomless bucket of umpires to appoint to matches. But the ACO does have the ability to train and develop ex-players, coaches and anyone else who might want to join those of us who have the best seat in the house.
Could you become a properly trained and qualified cricket umpires supporting your club by officiating in matches where no panel umpire is appointed. And for some leagues that means added league bonus points. More umpires means a more enjoyable game (no-one wants to do their ten).
The free 2½ hour Middlesex ACO Introduction to Umpiring Courses are running across the county during December and act as a taster and/or a starting point for new umpires.
